Minutes of the July 2002 DBAA Board meeting were approved.

Funding A short discussion was held concerning the form for evaluation of the newly funded programs. We decided that it should be titled Program Evaluation Form. Little else was discussed, since Jane Day who created the form was not present at the meeting. We will discuss this more at the next meeting.

Young Adults. Jack proposed initiating a program to entice young adults to Duplicated Bridge. He would like to target those people 35 and under into the game with a 6 week bridge course and play similar to the other courses already being taught. Ideas of advertising and promotions were discussed. The need for babysitting was also discussed. The need to re -set up a dedicated phone line for the DBAA was brought up too. The Board approved $700 funding for this start–up project

Unit Game – Special games. It was brought up that someone needed to make sure that the Unit game is taking advantage of all the special games that are available. Jack is going to check with Dan Plato to see if there is anyone who is already doing this or if we need to put someone in charge of this task.

Unit game-Food Josie Mitchell will only take care of the food for the Unit game till the end of September. She will then only help to coordinate other people to take care of the food for the game. If anyone is interested in taking on this job, please see any board member.

Bridge at Schools Raffle The board decided not to purchase any Raffle tickets as a whole. It would, however, enthusiastically support the sale of these tickets to individuals players during the Unit game

Treasures Report. Bill Burks was not present at this board meeting. There was no Treasures report
