BOARD OF DIRECTORS JUY 5^TH    MEETING MINUTES                                                             July 5, 2006

President Jack Feagin called the meeting to order.  Present:  Jack Feagin, Josie Mitchell, Kevin Collins,  Jan Word and Carolyn Eckert.

1. Minutes:  June, 2006 minutes were approved.

            August 9.....NORTH AMERICAN PAIRS

            August 23….NORTH AMERICAN PAIRS

4. Old Business:

           Unity Game:  the game was a great success.  A special thank you was given to Dan Plato and ABA for supporting the game.  Everyone looks forward to next year’s game hosted by ABA.  Reimbursement for food costs will be provided to the Alpharetta Club for also hosting a Unity Game.

Phone Book:  this is a work in progress with distribution time targeted for Atlanta Labor Day Regional.  All clubs will receive copies for distribution.  Jan offered the idea of selling advertisements to individuals, companies for posting in the phone book to help offset the printing costs.  Lengthy discussions focused around developing guidelines for what ads should be included, cost of ads, deadline for printers and other issues which would take a committee or more time to resolve.  Board decided to deal with this topic at the next production of the phone books.

By-Laws: 

5. New Business:

           Atlanta Sectional:  the table count was 950.   The July 4, 2007 tournament will be hosted at the Hilton Hotel.
