BOARD OF DIRECTORS OCTOBER 4, 2006 MEETING MINUTES October 8, 2006
President Jack Feagin called the meeting to order Present: Jack Feagin,
Josie Mitchell, Kevin Collins, Beatrice Kemp, Nicholas Hammond, and Susan
Wolfe.
Items headlined in blue need future discussion and follow up.
1. Minutes: Sept. 6th, 2006 minutes were approved.
2. Financial: No report at this time.
3. Old Business:
Beatrice researched the companies and the pricing which sell duplicating
dealing machines. According to the ACBL the only reliable machine is produced
by "Jannersten", a company in Sweden. (www.jannersten,sc/html/dealing)
Due to the low attendance of the lectures before the Wednesday night game,
the lectures will be discontinued for the time being.
4. New Business:
The area reps reported about the unit meeting in Gainesville. A brief discussion followed. The DBAA will again ask local clubs and
directors how the DBAA can help and improve bridge in the Atlanta area.
Miles wants our approval to reset the flight stratification for the Wed.
night game. It will now be Flight C: 0 to 1,500 masterpoints, Flight B:
2,500 plus, Flight A: 3,000 and up.
Meeting adjourned 7:30PM. Next meeting November 1st 2006 @ 6:15 pm
