1.  Minutes:  May 2, 2007 minutes were distributed.

2.  Financial:  No reports presented.

3.  New Business:

DBAA Area Expansion – The DBAA Articles and By-Laws provide that DBAA is defined by Georgia Unit 114.  A vote is scheduled for the Unit meeting on July 7 to re-define the Unit Areas.  The Unit is expected to vote on a proposal to expand Area 4 to include Cherokee and Forsyth Counties and rename Area 4 to Metro.

Ralph reported the voting tally from Forsyth County to join DBAA was 25 votes in favor and 18 opposed.  For Cherokee County, there were 14 in favor.  Based on the feedback from members and club owners in Cherokee and Forsyth, the DBAA board is in favor of expansion of DBAA to include these counties.  Susan moved that the Unit representatives request approval at the Unit meeting to have Cherokee and Forsyth Counties included in the DBAA area.  Motion approved.

Atlanta Junior Bridge (AJB) – Patty presented a report of the AJB history, activities, classes, enrollment and phenomenal growth since its inception.  Patty will make a request for funding in October to the ACBL Education Foundation and must have matching funds in place.  The year-to-date and projected full-year 2007 expenses were presented, along with an itemized request for 2008 funding needed from DBAA, Unit 114, District 7 and other sources.  The board will review the report and discuss at the next meeting.

DBAA Website Larry is the webmaster for both the Raleigh Bridge Club and the DBAA.  He provided a demonstration of the various features in the Raleigh website for us to consider as possibilities to improve the DBAA site.  The Raleigh site has a Forum, which requires an Administrator.  Larry would not be available as the Administrator if we decided to have a Forum on the DBAA site.  The board will review different Bridge Club websites and decide at our next meeting the general content and layout of what we want on the DBAA website.

Meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.

Next meeting:  Wednesday, August 1, 2007 @ 6:15 pm

Respectfully submitted,
