Welcome to the DBAA Home Page

The DBAA is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes duplicate bridge in the Metro Atlanta area. The DBAA sponsors a weekly game on Wednesday nights at the Atlanta Duplicate Bridge Center, and hosts three sectional tournaments each year in the Atlanta area.

Nominees for DBAA Area Reps to DBAA & Unit 114 Boards

Elections will be held for Area Reps from the DBAA area at the Roswell Tournament running from Feb. 29 to Mar. 4. Presently eight members are nominated for the six open positions. Interested persons may nominate themselves before Saturday, Feb. 4, by sending an email to Donna Parker at: donna@ken-parker.com. Dick Browne, who’s chairing our committee, can be reached at 770-992-3533 with any questions you may have. Of the six open slots, five are for 2 year terms and one is for 1 year. The one year term will be decided by vote tally.

Plans are being finalized for limited voting in clubs prior to the tournament as well as provisions for Absentee Ballots. Voting at the tournament will be on Thursday, Mar. 1 and Saturday, Mar. 3 as now planned. Results will be announced on Sunday, Mar. 4.

DBAA’s 2012 Mentoring Program starts January 1^st.

During the first quarter of 2012, the DBAA is sponsoring a mentor

program in all area clubs. Life Masters who agree to play with and

mentor Non-life Masters will be awarded a free play for their

efforts. Your club manager or director will arrange partnerships and

will explain the details to you. Sign up at your favorite club !
