NOTICE
OF ELECTIONS
Dear Club Manager,
The club is the most important
entity in all of organized bridge, and the Unit 114 Board requests that
you post this notice prominently at your club and circulate copies to
players at upcoming games.
Two-year terms for Area Representatives
begin at the next Annual Meeting on March 29, 2008. Your club
is in the Northeast Area, which comprises Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Dawson,
Elbert, Fannin, Franklin, Gilmer, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lincoln,
Lumpkin, Madison, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Pickens, Rabun, Stephens, Towns,
Union, White, and Wilkes Counties. Based on ACBL active
membership, your Area will have two of the Unit Board’s 17 Area Representatives.
Mike Kovacich has been chosen
as the Election Monitor for your Area. Anyone interested in running
for Area Representative should contact Marty Nathan (Unit Secretary)
at mjnathan@comcast.net or Mike Kovacich (Unit Election Chairperson)
at mkovacich@bellsouth.net no later than February 26, 2008. If there
are more nominees than open positions, there will be an election at
the Tucker Sectional on March 27 to March 29, 2008. Members need
not live in the area they represent.
The Board has approved procedures
governing the election of Area Representatives. These are available
on the Unit website at http://www.whidco.com/Unit114acbl.
